What does being a nurturer mean to you?
Holding space for others.
What are your self-care rituals to stay grounded throughout the day?
Kundalini breathing exercises, even a quick breath of fire, and taking time to sit and enjoy my Sakara Life meals that nourish me through busy days.
What is the best piece of advice on motherhood you have received?
Make it a priority to fill your own cup, as hard as it can be.
What is the one item you thought you would need as a mother but you didn’t?
A crib. We have a family bed and it’s (mostly) heaven 🙂
If you could only pass on one wellness ritual to your children, what would it be and why?
It would be to have the ability to tap into their own voice and the confidence to listen to it, inspired by the Mary Oliver poem, Praying.
It doesn’t have to be
the blue iris, it could be
weeds in a vacant lot, or a few
small stones; just
pay attention, then patch
a few words together and don’t try
to make them elaborate, this isn’t
a contest but the doorway
into thanks, and a silence in which
another voice may speak.”
― Mary Oliver
Which Mother’s Day set speaks to you?
The Breathe set, because in stressful moments it’s the easiest thing to forget how to do.
