Shelly Guo, DTCM, L.Ac., Dipl. O.M.
My journey into acupuncture was deeply inspired by my mother, who is also
an acupuncturist and herbalist. Watching her help people heal through
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) sparked my passion for this field. Over
the years, this passion has grown into a dedicated career in which I’ve gained
more than 10 years of formal training.
I hold a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the University of
Bridgeport, along with a Bachelor of Chinese Medicine from Beijing University
of Chinese Medicine and a Master of Physical Therapy in Musculoskeletal
Science from University College London. This diverse educational
background has equipped me to blend Eastern and Western medical
approaches, particularly in treating musculoskeletal (MSK) disorders and pain.
In addition to musculoskeletal conditions, I have extensive experience in
treating women's health, including fertility support and IVF preparation. I focus
on helping women regulate their menstrual cycles, balance hormones, and
optimize their chances of conception through natural therapies. My integrative
approach allows me to work closely with patients undergoing IVF, providing
complementary treatments that enhance fertility outcomes.
In my practice, I integrate acupuncture, Chinese herbs, cupping, gua sha, and
other modalities to create individualized treatment plans. I specialize in fertility
support, stress management, and all types of musculoskeletal pain, including
acute and chronic conditions.
