Shua Kim, DACM, L.Ac., NCCAOM Diplomate

From a young age, Shua became aware of the remarkable potency and efficacy of Chinese medicine by accompanying her mother to acupuncture sessions for a wide range of health issues. However, it was not until after completing her college education that she made the deliberate choice to fully immerse herself in the study of Chinese Medicine. Facing anxiety challenges, Shua turned to acupuncture which significantly improved her mental well-being. It was at that point that she realized Chinese medicine's holistic approach not only addressed physical symptoms, but also promoted emotional and psychological well-being. Shua’s transformative experience inspired her to share the healing potential of this ancient practice with others. At NYU Langone Health hospital, she has helped treat patients with severe chronic conditions including Multiple Sclerosis, stroke, and diabetes. Shua also has 4 years of training in Korean Sa’Am Five Element Acupuncture, which is an unique acupuncture style that aims to diagnose imbalances and restore harmony in the patient by using specific acupuncture points that relate to the Five Elements. Shua is passionate about meeting patients where they are in their health journey and has had great results in treating pain syndrome, gastrointestinal disorders, mental, emotional disorders, and conditions related to women's health. In her free time, Shua enjoys traveling, photography, and drawing. She is excited to help you on your healing journey.
